Preparation and drying
Old or blown plaster may need removing before new work. We check the existing surface and explain the right approach before starting.
New plaster needs time to dry before decorating. Drying time depends on thickness, temperature and ventilation, and a mist coat is usually needed on fresh plaster.
How plastering projects typically run
- Inspect. Check the condition of existing surfaces.
- Protect. Cover floors and fixtures.
- Prepare. Remove loose material, bead corners, apply bonding where needed.
- Plaster. Apply and finish to a smooth surface.
- Clean up. Leave the room ready for drying and decoration.
